Bleh. What a sucky day. Last night someone broke into Sonny's car and took his bag of soccer stuff. He loves his jerseys and was totally bummed. Mainly though we were both bummed that someone broke into our car while it was parked in our driveway. No good. I can't wait to move out of this neighborhood. Amazingly (to me), it will be a little tough to leave. There are a lot of memories in this house. But, I'll be glad to get out of this area.

Sonny is at a game tonight. I hope he has a jersey to wear. Those creepy, thieving jackasses better not have cleaned him out. I'm sure he does. That man has one pair of jeans and he's had them for about ten years and won't...WON'T let them die a natural death, but he has like 20 soccer jerseys. To each his own.

I keep looking out the window expecting to catch them breaking into my car and stealing the baby seat. It's the only thing of value in it. Ugh. That would truly suck.

Lou was also extremely high maintenance tonight. After I fed her dinner, I was cleaning up the kitchen and making up dinner for myself (frozen fish sticks and a baked potato--I'm a gourmet) and she spent pretty much the whole time hanging from my legs. She took a couple breaks to pull all the pots and pans and tupperware out of the cupboard. By the time I finished with her bath (don't get me started) and book, I was ready to go down with her.

The upside: I have to say, I love rocking that kid to sleep. She clings on to my neck and practices all her new sounds. And, lately (or at least the last two nights in a row) she wakes up when I lay her down in the crib and smiles at me while I cover her up. I can't believe it! I wait for her to get all indignant and stand up and march to the edge of the crib to howl when I leave the room. She does this, this kid. But she just smiles and flaps her arms on the big, comfy blanket her Auntie made her and lets me walk out the door. Who is this child? And, where is the old, howly Lou? Two nights in a row...happy, cooey, flappy-armed baby left awake in the crib to go to sleep by herself. Please don't let me jinx it.
